Hello Everyone! For those of you who have not met me yet I am Sharayah! I am in charge of the youth programs here at New Hope. I am so excited to be here and to be a part of your church family. I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you!   So far at youth, I have just been spending time getting to know the kids. I feel that the most important thing is to build a personal relationship with each student. Once there is a relationship established then we can begin to dig deep and to learn and to grow from each other. When I think about this I think about the verse John 13:34 which says, “God has given me one new commandment that I should love others just as He has loved me.” As Christians we are to be followers of Christ, living breathing examples of Him.   I believe that of all the great things Jesus did on this earth His greatest was how He loved others. Many beautiful things can stem from building a relationship and loving on someone. That is what I committed to here at New Hope.   Although I do long for the youth to grow, I will not focus on numbers. The numbers are not what are important; what is important are the relationships that I make with each kid, the love that we show them, and in that way I hope to leave an impact. Love, Sharayah
