New Hope strives to serve the church, our community, and our world through several service opportunities.
HANDS—ON MISSION
Through the years New Hope has been faithful in her support of Operation Love, an organization which acts as a central distribution point for food and other assistance to the needy of Madison County. This year the need is greater than ever! We have decided to have a continuing food drive through-out the year for that purpose.Beginning in March, Operation Love bags will be available for you to take home and fill with groceries. Return them, and they will be delivered to Operation Love and will be a life-line to many. Pick up extra items each time you go to the grocery, make the most of the “10 for 10” specials, or make a trip to Aldi for low cost staple products.
John’s sermons from the book of James have shown us to prove our faith by our deeds, especially our help to the poor. Our support of Operation Love is not just a “nice community activity”—it is crucial to our faith and is truly an offering to God! In addition, the Women’s Ministry is specifically helping our individual “adopted family” throughout this year in many personal ways. May God bless our faith in action!

Women's Ministry
The women’s ministry provides avenues for service, friendships, and outreach for the women of the church. This is accomplished through:
- Providing and assembling “Welcome Bags” for distribution at the Mustin Women’s Shelter.
- By volunteering at Operation Love and at the Pregnancy Care Center.
- Planting flowers around the church building.
- Assembling and mailing care boxes to our college students.
- Hosting a Ladies Spring Luncheon for fellowship and outreach.
- Having a Christmas party.
- Going on shopping and sight seeing trips. These are just some of the ways in which the women are active in the church and in the community.

Men's Ministry
We are studying Titus for our 8:00AM Men’s Breakfast which meets at the church building the first Saturday morning of each month. During the summer months a different schedule will be followed. In May we will be joined by the Women’s ministry for breakfast as well as a morning of working together inside and outside our building. In June we will meet at McDonalds and do yard work for seniors in the congregation. July will find us golfing at a local golf course on a Sunday afternoon and August looks to be an opportunity to serve in our community.
If you will join us it will give you a great opportunity to fellowship, laugh and grow together with other men. “Go Fish” will help you be a “Fisher of Men” in the challenging, churning and murky waters of our culture.

MISSIONS
Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Reaching the lost for Christ is not a secondary function of the church; it is its primary function. That is why we set aside 10% of our annual budget each year for missions. We support the following ministries because we understand we can’t go everywhere but others can and they need our support.
